Aluminium Decking

A hollow extruded board with internal ribbing, not a solid plank. It carries load at low weight, drains instead of holding water, and does not rot, warp or crack in this climate.

The board is the product

A hollow section, not a plank.

Cut one open and the argument is obvious. Internal ribs carry the load, the chambers take the weight out, and the open ends let water leave instead of sitting in the board.

Questions we get asked

Questions on this system.

Short answers. Where a figure is not confirmed yet the page says so instead of estimating it.

What makes an aluminium board different from a composite one?
It is a hollow extrusion with internal ribs rather than a solid plank. That takes the weight out while keeping the stiffness, and the open ends let water drain rather than sit in the board. It also does not rot, warp or crack.
Does it get hot underfoot?
In direct midday sun, yes. So does composite. Textured finishes and lighter colours reduce it noticeably. If the deck is unshaded and used barefoot at midday, factor that in for any material including timber.
Can it be used on a rooftop terrace?
That is where it earns its place. It is the lightest of the three common decking materials, which matters when loading on the slab is capped.
Do you install, or only supply?
Alu-R Pro supplies. Installation on residential work is handled by Exterior Design, the same team, so specification and install do not come from two different companies.
